Community Support Services began providing primary care services to clients receiving behavioral health services at the agency in November 2008. Research has shown that individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses have a life expectancy that is nearly 25 years shorter than individuals who do not experience severe mental illnesses. The reasons are many, but the primary reason is merely the lack of having access to a personal physician/nurse practitioner to treat their physical illnesses. We welcome our clients to take advantage of this convenient access to medical care and contact the agency to schedule an appointment.
