Typically, a person who wishes to receive services from Community Support Services begins with an assessment through the Adult Mental Health Admissions Department.

Referrals to specific agency programs
Community Support Services accepts referrals to the following programs without persons being assessed through the Adult Mental Health Admissions Department.
The alphonso turner homeless outreach center 330-762-4663
The Alphonso Turner Homeless Outreach Center, a Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), offers hope and support to those who are homeless and likely in need of mental health services.
Individuals accepted into the Homeless Outreach Program must:
- Be homeless or at risk for homelessness
- Have symptoms suggestive of severe and persistent mental illness
- Not already be engaged in mental health services
Vocational & Employment services - 330-253-9675
The Employment/Vocational Services of Community Support Services are designed to provide work experience opportunities and assistance to individuals in choosing to work. As part of a comprehensive community support system, other needed services, such as case management, residential, and psychiatric services can be coordinated and utilized to increase the employment success of participants.
Crisis intervention - 330-571-2767
During agency hours (Monday thru Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm), Crisis Intervention Services are available. During non-agency hours, please call Psychiatric Emergency Services 330-762-6110 for assistance. You may also call your local police department. Most communities have CIT Officers (specially trained police to assist in mental health crises).
