The Alphonso Turner Homeless Outreach Center, a Project for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH), offers hope and support to those who are homeless and likely in need of mental health services.
Individuals accepted into the Homeless Outreach Program must:
- Be homeless or at risk for homelessness
- Have symptoms suggestive of severe and persistent mental illness
- Not be engaged in mental health services
If a homeless individual does not meet program criteria, outreach workers attempt to connect the individual with other community agencies and services.
The Alphonso Turner Homeless Outreach Center has a lobby with comfortable seating, showers, laundry facilities and a telephone for homeless individuals to use.
Individuals wishing further information about the Homeless Outreach Program or wishing to refer someone to the program may call the Homeless Outreach office at 330-762-4663.
