Thank you for joining us for the 8th annual Art of Recovery benefit - a celebration of art, recovery and our community!

Community Support Services (CSS) celebrated the role of artistic expression in recovery March 14 at the Akron Art Museum. It was an exceptional success for our client-artists: 41 of the 45 featured works of art were sold!

The annual Art of Recovery benefit, hosted by Community Support Services, has showcased more than 350 original art pieces since 2016. The artists are clients living with severe and persistent mental illness, some of whom participate in CSS’s Expressive Arts Therapy program. Art of Recovery showcases these clients’ creativity and talents, while fighting the stigma of mental illness and celebrating the powerful impact that creative expression has in the mental health recovery process. With each art purchase, 75% of the proceeds go to the artist and 25% is reinvested in CSS’s Expressive Art Therapy program.

We thank the artists of CSS for sharing their creations and their stories with our guests. We also thank our presenting sponsor, Klein's Pharmacy, and the many other sponsors who helped to make this event such a success.
