[Akron, Ohio, 7/10/2026] Community Support Services (CSS), an Akron-based non-profit providing healthcare and wellness services to low-income individuals across Summit County, has announced the first-ever Art of Recovery Tent Sale to take place on their Akron campus on August 5th, 2026.
For the past 11 years, CSS has hosted Art of Recovery to showcase the artistic creations of their art therapy participants and total clientele. Artworks are expressions of the unique perspectives of individuals pursuing recovery from mental and behavioral health challenges. Included pieces are displayed at an evening event where guests can view and bid in an online auction. At the end of the auction, 75% of proceeds are awarded directly to the artists and 25% to support the art therapy program. Auction winners leave with beautiful, compelling, and meaningful pieces of art.
Pieces donated by artists in the art therapy program and that do not get sold at Art of Recovery are stored and collected by CSS. After 11 years, an impressive collection has been gathered. These pieces will be available for purchase by the public on August 5th at the unprecedented Art of Recovery Tent Sale.
