Akron’s home-grown The Black Keys are embarking on their nation-wide “Let’s Rock Tour”, including a September 30 show at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (formerly Quicken Loans Arena) in Cleveland. Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is raffling five pairs of tickets to the show and signed posters.

The relationship between The Black Keys and CSS goes back more than a decade. Alfred McMoore, a long-time CSS client, was a friend of the families of both members of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. In fact, it was a frequent saying of McMoore’s, “your black key is taking too long,” that inspired the band’s name.

In September 2009, The Black Keys headlined a benefit concert for CSS at Musica in Akron and proceeds from that event established The Black Keys Alfred McMoore Memorial Fund at Akron Community Foundation. Proceeds from this year’s ticket raffle will be added to that fund.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or five tickets for $20, and are available at https://tinyurl.com/y5bleuze.
